How To Thaw Frozen Raw Shrimp?

Place the frozen shrimp in a colander

Rinse under cold running water for 5 to 10 minutes

Stir occasionally to ensure even thawing

Drain well before cooking

Or place the shrimp in a bowl of cold water

Keep the shrimp sealed in a leak-proof bag if thawing in water

Change the water every 10 to 15 minutes

Thaw until the shrimp are flexible and no longer icy

Pat dry with paper towels before cooking

Do not use hot water

Do not thaw at room temperature

Cook immediately after thawing
