Make sure both iPhones are charged and connected to Wi-Fi
Turn on Bluetooth on both iPhones
Place the new iPhone near the old iPhone
Follow the Quick Start prompt on the old iPhone
Scan the animation on the new iPhone with the old iPhone
Enter the old iPhone passcode on the new iPhone
Set up Face ID or Touch ID on the new iPhone
Choose Transfer from iPhone to move data directly
Keep both iPhones close together until the transfer finishes
Sign in to your Apple ID on the new iPhone
Turn on iCloud backup on the old iPhone if needed
Restore from iCloud backup during setup if you prefer that method
Use a computer backup and restore if Quick Start is not available
Connect the old iPhone to a Mac or PC and create a backup
Connect the new iPhone to the computer and restore the backup
Transfer SIM or activate eSIM on the new iPhone
Re-download apps, music, photos, and messages if needed
Check that contacts, calendars, notes, and photos transferred correctly
Pair Bluetooth accessories again on the new iPhone
Sign in to apps and services that require reauthentication
