Connect the iPhone to the PC using a USB cable
Open the Photos app on Windows
Select Import
Choose From a USB device
Select the photos to import (or select Import all new photos)
Choose where to save the imported photos
Click Import
If prompted, unlock the iPhone and tap Trust This Computer
After import completes, safely disconnect the iPhone from the PC
Use File Explorer (no Photos app)
Connect the iPhone to the PC using a USB cable
Open File Explorer
Select your iPhone under This PC
Open Internal Storage
Open DCIM
Copy the needed folders (or images) to a folder on your PC
Eject the iPhone safely after copying is complete
Use iCloud Photos
On the iPhone: Settings → your name → iCloud → Photos → enable iCloud Photos
On the PC: install iCloud for Windows
Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple ID
Enable Photos in iCloud for Windows
Click Apply
Download photos from iCloud Photos on the PC
Use Windows Photos with iCloud for Windows (if using iCloud Photos)
Open the iCloud Photos folder or iCloud Photos web experience (depending on setup)
Download the photos to the desired PC location
