How To Transplant A Christmas Cactus?

Choose a pot with drainage holes that is only slightly larger than the current one

Use a well-draining potting mix made for cacti or succulents

Water the plant lightly a day or two before transplanting

Gently remove the Christmas cactus from its old pot

Loosen the root ball carefully and remove excess old soil

Inspect the roots and trim any that are damaged or rotten

Place a small amount of fresh potting mix in the new pot

Set the plant at the same depth it was growing before

Fill in around the roots with fresh soil and lightly firm it

Leave a little space at the top of the pot for watering

Water lightly after transplanting

Place the plant in bright, indirect light
