Enter Build/Buy Mode
Select the furniture item
Click the rotate button
Press the comma key to rotate left
Press the period key to rotate right
On console, use the left and right bumpers or triggers
On Mac, use the same comma and period keys
Hold Alt while rotating for free placement, if needed
