Turn on the camera
Press the flash button marked with a lightning bolt
Keep pressing until the flash mode shows Flash Off or the lightning bolt with a slash
If needed, use the Quick Control screen and select Flash Off
In Auto mode, switch to a mode that allows flash control if Flash Off is not available
Confirm the flash icon is no longer active on the screen
