Click the Apple menu in the top-left corner
Select Shut Down
Confirm if prompted
Wait for the MacBook Air to power off completely
Close the lid if desired
Press and hold the power button for a few seconds if the Mac is unresponsive
Use Control + Option + Command + Power button to force shut down if needed
