How to Turn Off OneDrive Sync?

Open the OneDrive icon in the system tray

Select Help & Settings

Click Pause syncing or Quit OneDrive

To stop sync completely, open OneDrive Settings

Go to the Account tab

Click Unlink this PC

Confirm the unlink action

To stop OneDrive from starting automatically, open Task Manager

Go to the Startup tab

Disable Microsoft OneDrive

To disable folder sync, open OneDrive Settings

Go to the Backup or Sync and backup section

Turn off syncing for the folders you do not want backed up

To remove OneDrive from File Explorer, open Settings

Go to Apps

Uninstall Microsoft OneDrive
