Open the Facebook app
Tap the menu icon
Go to Settings & privacy
Tap Settings
Scroll to Media
Turn off Sounds in the app
On iPhone, also mute your device if needed
On Android, also lower the media volume if needed
To stop video sound automatically, tap the video and use the mute icon
To turn off notification sounds, go to Notifications settings and disable sound alerts
