Start the vehicle or turn the ignition to accessory/on
Locate the windshield wiper control stalk or switch
Move the stalk up, down, or twist the ring depending on the vehicle
Select the desired wiper speed or intermittent setting
Pull the stalk toward you or press the washer button if you want washer fluid
Adjust the setting as needed for rain or visibility
