Turn off the vehicle and remove the key
Open the trunk or rear access panel
Locate the left rear tail light assembly
Remove the tail light cover or access panel
Unscrew or unclip the tail light housing
Pull out the faulty brake light bulb
Check the bulb type and replace it with the correct new bulb
Insert the new bulb firmly into the socket
Reinstall the tail light housing
Reattach the cover or access panel
Test the brake light by pressing the brake pedal
Replace the fuse if the new bulb does not work
Check the bulb socket for corrosion or damage
Replace the socket or wiring if needed
