Open Settings
Tap Sound & vibration
Turn off Silent mode or Do Not Disturb
Increase the ring volume
Switch the side mute/ringer switch to Ring, if your phone has one
Make sure media volume is not mistaken for ringtone volume
Test by calling the phone
