Use over-the-counter ear drops for wax removal
Place a few drops of mineral oil, baby oil, glycerin, or hydrogen peroxide in the ear
Tilt your head and let the drops sit for a few minutes
Gently flush the ear with warm water using a bulb syringe
Let the ear drain by tilting your head
Wipe the outer ear with a clean cloth
Repeat for a few days if needed, following product directions
Stop if you feel pain, dizziness, or worsening symptoms
Avoid using cotton swabs, bobby pins, or other objects in the ear
See a doctor if the blockage does not clear, you have ear pain, hearing loss, discharge, or a history of ear problems
