Identify the exact motherboard model and current BIOS version
Check the motherboard manufacturer’s support page for the latest BIOS file
Read the BIOS update notes and compatibility requirements
Download the correct BIOS file for your exact motherboard model
Format a USB drive to FAT32
Copy the BIOS file to the root of the USB drive
Back up important data
Ensure the computer has stable power or use a UPS
Close all applications and restart the computer
Enter the BIOS/UEFI setup during startup
Open the built-in BIOS update utility
Select the BIOS file from the USB drive
Confirm the update process
Do not turn off the computer during the update
Wait until the update completes and the system restarts
Enter BIOS/UEFI again after reboot
Load optimized/default settings if required
Save changes and exit
Verify the new BIOS version in BIOS/UEFI or system information
