Download and install 7-Zip from the official website
Open 7-Zip File Manager
Navigate to the folder containing the files you want to work with
Select the files or folders you want to compress
Click Add to create a new archive
Choose the archive format, such as 7z or zip
Set compression level and other options if needed
Click OK to create the archive
Right-click a file or folder in File Explorer to access 7-Zip options
Choose Add to archive to compress files
Choose Extract Here to unpack files into the current folder
Choose Extract to folder name to unpack files into a new folder
Choose Open archive to view contents without extracting
Enter a password in the encryption settings if you want to protect the archive
Split the archive into parts by setting a volume size if needed
Test the archive from 7-Zip to check for errors
Use the context menu to copy, move, delete, or rename files inside archives
Update an existing archive by adding new files to it
Close 7-Zip when finished
