Select the correct size bolt extractor for the damaged bolt
Clean the bolt head and surrounding area
Apply penetrating oil if the bolt is stuck
Tap the extractor onto the bolt head if needed
Attach the extractor to a ratchet, wrench, or drill as required
Turn the extractor counterclockwise to grip and loosen the bolt
Apply steady pressure while keeping the tool aligned
Continue turning until the bolt breaks free
Remove the bolt completely once loosened
Clean the threads and inspect the area after removal
