Choose a flea comb with very fine, closely spaced teeth
Comb your pet’s fur slowly, starting at the head and moving toward the tail
Focus on areas where fleas hide, such as the neck, ears, belly, and base of the tail
Keep the comb close to the skin without scratching or pulling the fur
After each stroke, inspect the comb for fleas, flea dirt, or eggs
Dip the comb into soapy water or wipe it on a paper towel to remove debris
Repeat the process over the entire body, section by section
Use the comb daily or as needed to monitor and reduce fleas
Wash your hands after use and clean the comb thoroughly
Combine flea combing with a vet-approved flea treatment for best results
