Align the dial or shackle with the lock’s starting position
Enter the combination or key as required by the model
Pull up or open the shackle if the lock is a padlock
Close the shackle and scramble the dial after use
For resettable models, open the lock first
Set the reset mechanism according to the lock instructions
Choose a new combination
Return the reset mechanism to its original position
Test the new combination before locking it in use
