Turn off power to the circuit
Set the multimeter to continuity mode
Plug the black probe into COM
Plug the red probe into V/Ω
Touch the probe tips together to verify the meter beeps or shows near zero resistance
Place the probes on the two points you want to test
Listen for a beep or check for a very low resistance reading
If there is no beep or the reading is open or very high, the circuit is not continuous
Remove the probes after testing
Turn the multimeter off when finished
