Make sure Apple Pay is set up on your iPhone or Apple Watch
At checkout, look for the contactless payment symbol or Apple Pay logo
Double-click the side button on your iPhone or Apple Watch
Authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your passcode
Hold the top of your iPhone near the contactless reader
Hold your Apple Watch near the contactless reader
Wait for the checkmark or confirmation on the screen
Keep your device near the reader until the payment is complete
If prompted, choose the correct card before paying
Ask the cashier if the terminal supports contactless payments if needed
