Wash and dry your hands before and after use
Make sure the scalp is clean and dry unless your doctor told you otherwise
Part the hair to expose the affected scalp area
Apply a few drops or a thin layer only to the affected areas
Gently rub it in if directed by your doctor
Use only the amount prescribed
Do not apply to unaffected skin
Do not cover the area with a bandage, cap, or dressing unless told to do so
Avoid getting the solution in your eyes, mouth, nose, or other sensitive areas
Wash your hands after applying unless your hands are the treated area
Use it exactly as prescribed, usually once or twice daily
Do not use it for longer than prescribed
Do not use it on broken, infected, or irritated skin unless your doctor says it is okay
Stop using it and contact your doctor if you get severe burning, irritation, thinning skin, or signs of infection
Do not use more often or in larger amounts than prescribed
Follow your doctor’s instructions if you are using other scalp products at the same time
