Open QuickTime Player
Click File
Select New Movie Recording
Choose the camera and microphone if needed
Click the red Record button
Click the Stop button when finished
Save the recording
Open Screenshot toolbar with Shift + Command + 5
Click Record Entire Screen or Record Selected Portion
Click Record
Click the Stop button in the menu bar when finished
Save the recording
Use Photo Booth for webcam recording
Open Photo Booth
Start recording if available on your Mac
Stop recording when finished
Save the video
Use third-party screen recording apps if needed
Open the app
Select the screen, window, or camera source
Start recording
Stop and save the video
