Check the care label for washing instructions
Zip up all zippers and close all fasteners
Empty all pockets
Turn the vest inside out
Use a front-loading washing machine or a gentle cycle
Wash with cold water
Use a mild detergent made for down or delicate fabrics
Do not use bleach or fabric softener
Wash the vest alone or with similar lightweight items
Run an extra rinse cycle if needed
Gently press out excess water after washing
Tumble dry on low heat
Add clean tennis balls or dryer balls to help restore loft
Check the vest periodically during drying and break up clumps by hand
Continue drying until completely dry
Air dry fully if any dampness remains
Store the vest only when it is completely dry
