Check the care label first
Turn the sweater inside out
Fill a clean basin with cool or lukewarm water
Add a small amount of gentle wool or cashmere detergent
Submerge the sweater and soak for 5 to 10 minutes
Gently swish the sweater without rubbing or twisting
Drain the soapy water
Rinse with cool water until all detergent is removed
Press out excess water gently without wringing
Lay the sweater flat on a clean towel
Roll the towel to remove more moisture
Reshape the sweater while damp
Dry flat away from direct heat and sunlight
Store folded, not hung
Wash only when necessary
