Check the care label for washing instructions
Remove pillowcases and protectors
Inspect pillows for tears or weak seams
Use a front-loading or top-loading washer without an agitator if possible
Wash two pillows at a time to balance the load
Add a small amount of mild liquid detergent
Use warm water unless the care label says otherwise
Run an extra rinse cycle to remove detergent residue
Spin out excess water
Tumble dry on low heat
Add clean tennis balls or dryer balls to help restore loft
Pause drying occasionally to fluff and reposition the pillows
Continue drying until completely dry inside and out
Air-dry further if needed to prevent mildew
Fluff pillows after drying
Replace pillows if they remain lumpy, damaged, or smell musty
