Wear a fitted blouse and petticoat
Tuck one end of the sari into the petticoat at the waist on the right side
Wrap the sari around your waist once, keeping the lower edge even with the floor
Make pleats in the front and tuck them into the petticoat at the center
Adjust the pleats so they are neat and evenly spread
Bring the remaining fabric around your body and drape it over the left shoulder
Secure the pallu with a pin if needed
Smooth and adjust the sari for comfort and balance
Check that the hem is off the ground and the pleats are secure
