Open your Google Doc
Click the Zoom dropdown in the toolbar
Select a lower zoom percentage
Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + mouse wheel down on Windows or Cmd + mouse wheel down on Mac
In your browser, press Ctrl + minus on Windows or Cmd + minus on Mac to zoom out the page view
