How To Remove Baseboard Moulding?

Score the caulk line along the top edge with a utility knife

Remove any paint seal with the utility knife

Locate and mark any nails or screws

Pry off shoe molding first if present

Insert a putty knife behind the baseboard to protect the wall

Gently work a pry bar or trim puller behind the board

Pry at stud locations to loosen the nails

Move along the board and repeat until it releases

Pull the baseboard away from the wall

Remove any remaining nails from the wall or trim

Patch nail holes and repair wall damage as needed
