Gather a VHS player, a DVD recorder or a computer with capture hardware, blank DVDs, and the needed cables
Connect the VHS player output to the DVD recorder input or to the capture device
Insert the VHS tape into the VHS player
Insert a blank DVD into the DVD recorder or prepare the computer capture software
Set the input source to the correct AV channel
Play the VHS tape
Record the video onto the DVD recorder or capture it on the computer
Stop the recording when the tape ends
Finalize the DVD if using a DVD recorder
Test the DVD on a DVD player
Label and store the finished DVD safely
