Preheat the oven to 400°F
Remove the husks and silk from the corn
Rinse the corn and pat it dry
Place the corn on a baking sheet
Brush with butter or oil if desired
Sprinkle with salt if desired
Wrap each ear in foil or leave uncovered
Bake for 20 to 25 minutes
Turn the corn halfway through if desired
Remove from the oven carefully
Let cool slightly before serving
