Wash and peel the carrots

Place the carrots in a microwave-safe dish
Add 2 to 4 tablespoons of water
Cover the dish with a microwave-safe lid or vented plastic wrap
Microwave on high for 3 to 6 minutes
Stir halfway through cooking
Check for tenderness with a fork
Microwave in 30-second intervals if needed
Drain any excess water
Season and serve
