Preheat the oven to 425°F
Wash and dry the broccoli
Cut the broccoli into florets
Place the florets in a bowl
Add olive oil
Add salt
Add black pepper
Toss to coat evenly
Spread the broccoli on a baking sheet in a single layer
Roast for 20 to 25 minutes
Flip halfway through
Remove when edges are browned and crisp
Serve immediately
