Choose a ripe mango and remove the seed from the pit
Clean off all fruit flesh from the seed
Let the seed dry for 1 to 2 days
Carefully open the hard outer husk with a knife or scissors
Remove the inner seed kernel without damaging it
Wrap the kernel in a damp paper towel
Place the wrapped seed in a plastic bag or container
Keep it warm at 75 to 85 F
Check the towel regularly and keep it moist, not wet
Wait for the root to emerge
Plant the sprouted seed in a pot with well-draining soil
Place the seed with the root facing downward
Cover lightly with soil
Water gently
Keep the pot in a warm, bright location
Maintain consistent moisture
Transplant outdoors after the plant is well established
