Insert batteries into the universal remote
Turn on the device you want to control
Find the device code in the remote manual or code list
Press and hold the setup button until the indicator light turns on
Press the button for the device type you want to program
Enter the device code using the number buttons
Point the remote at the device and test the power button
If the device does not respond, try another code for the same brand
Use the code search function if no code works
Save the code once the device responds correctly
Repeat the process for each additional device
Replace the batteries if the remote stops working properly
