Open Instagram and go to your profile
Tap the menu icon in the top right
Select Settings and privacy
Tap Messages and story replies
Tap Message controls
Choose who can message you
Set message requests to Not receiving requests where available
Adjust requests for followers, people you follow, and others as needed
Repeat for group message settings if needed
