Open Instagram and go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Select Settings and privacy
Tap Accounts Center
Open Your information and permissions
Tap Contacts uploading
Turn off contact syncing
Go back to Settings and privacy
Tap Notifications
Turn off suggestion-related notifications if available
Go to your profile and tap Edit profile
Remove any connected contact or Facebook account if needed
On the web, open Instagram settings and disable similar account suggestions where available
Clear search history from the Search tab
Tap and hold suggested posts or accounts and choose Not interested where available
