Let the wicker dry completely
Trim any loose or frayed strands with sharp scissors
Re-glue detached strands using wood glue or strong craft glue
Clamp or tape glued areas until fully dry
Soak brittle wicker lightly with water to make it more flexible
Reweave broken sections with matching reed, cane, or rattan
Replace missing strands by threading new material through the weave
Secure new ends with glue and tuck them under existing weave
Tighten loose weave by gently reshaping it while damp
Fill small cracks with wood filler if needed
Sand rough repaired spots lightly after drying
Apply stain or paint to match the original finish
Seal the repaired wicker with clear varnish or protective coating
Inspect regularly and repair small damage early
