2 tbsp coriander seeds
1 tbsp chana dal
1 tbsp urad dal
1 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp black peppercorns
1 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp fenugreek seeds
6 to 8 dried red chilies
1 tbsp curry leaves
1/2 tsp asafoetida
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp sesame seeds
1 small cinnamon stick
3 to 4 cloves
2 green cardamom pods
1 tsp rice
Dry roast all ingredients except turmeric and asafoetida
Cool completely
Grind to a fine powder
Add turmeric and asafoetida
Mix well
Store in an airtight container
