Back up your old iPhone to iCloud or a computer
Turn on your new iPhone and place it near your old iPhone
Follow the Quick Start prompt on your old iPhone
Scan the animation on the new iPhone with your old iPhone
Enter your old iPhone passcode on the new iPhone
Set up Face ID or Touch ID
Choose to transfer data directly or restore from iCloud backup
Sign in with your Apple ID
Restore apps, settings, photos, and other data
Keep both iPhones connected to Wi-Fi and power until transfer finishes
Check that messages, photos, apps, and contacts moved correctly
Pair your Apple Watch again if needed
Remove the old iPhone from your Apple ID if you are done using it
