Open Instagram and log in
Go to your profile
Tap the menu icon
Tap Accounts Center
Tap Personal details
Tap Account ownership and control
Tap Deactivation or deletion
Select the Instagram account
Tap Delete account
Choose a reason if prompted
Tap Continue
Enter your password if prompted
Confirm deletion
Use the Instagram delete account page in a browser if the app does not show the option
Wait 30 days before logging in again if you want the deletion to complete
Download your data before deleting if needed
