Turn off the air conditioner
Locate the filter compartment
Open the access panel or remove the cover
Remove the old filter
Check the filter size and type
Insert the new filter in the correct direction
Close the panel or cover
Turn the air conditioner back on
Dispose of the old filter properly
Replace the filter regularly
