Open the FaceTime app on your iPad
Sign in with your Apple ID if prompted
Make sure FaceTime is turned on in Settings
Tap the plus button or the new FaceTime option
Enter the person’s name, phone number, or email address
Tap the audio or video call button
Wait for the other person to answer
To receive calls, keep FaceTime enabled and stay signed in
Use Wi-Fi or cellular data for the call
End the call by tapping the red end button
