If Find My iPad is enabled, you cannot fully factory reset it without the Apple ID password
Try the wrong passcode until the iPad shows the Erase iPad option
Tap Erase iPad
Tap Erase iPad again to confirm
Enter the Apple ID password if prompted
If you do not know the Apple ID password, use Apple’s account recovery at iforgot.apple.com
If the iPad is managed by a school or company, contact the administrator
If the iPad is not passcode-locked and you can access Settings, go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPad > Erase All Content and Settings
If the iPad asks for the Apple ID password and you do not have it, the reset cannot be completed without recovery or the owner’s credentials
