Choose a pot with drainage holes
Use a well-draining cactus or succulent potting mix
Fill the pot about one-third full with soil
Place the aloe vera plant or pup in the center
Spread the roots gently over the soil
Add soil around the roots and base
Keep the crown above the soil line
Press the soil lightly to secure the plant
Water lightly after planting
Place the pot in bright, indirect sunlight
Allow the soil to dry out completely between waterings
Avoid overwatering
Repot when the plant outgrows the container
