Excavate the basin area and stream channel
Shape shelves, drops, and spill points for the waterfall
Compact the soil and remove sharp stones
Install underlayment in the basin and channel
Lay the pond liner over the underlayment
Position the basin reservoir and pump access area
Connect the pump to the tubing and route it to the top of the waterfall
Secure the liner around the waterfall edges and basin perimeter
Place larger rocks to form the waterfall structure
Add smaller rocks and gravel to hide liner and fill gaps
Use waterfall foam between rocks to direct water flow
Fill the reservoir with water
Test the pump and adjust rock placement and flow
Add decorative stones and plants around the waterfall
Maintain water level, clean debris, and inspect the pump regularly
