Turn off the washer and unplug it from the power outlet
Shut off the water supply
Place towels or a shallow pan under the drain access panel
Locate the emergency drain hose or drain filter cover at the bottom front of the machine
Open the access panel
Pull out the emergency drain hose if your model has one
Remove the hose cap and let the water drain into the pan
Reinstall the hose cap after draining
If there is no emergency drain hose, slowly unscrew the drain filter cap to release water
Let all water drain completely
Remove and clean the drain filter if needed
Tighten the drain filter cap securely
Close the access panel
Plug the washer back in and run a drain or spin cycle if necessary
