Plug in the washing machine and turn on the water supply
Sort the laundry by color, fabric, and washing instructions
Load clothes into the drum without overfilling
Add detergent to the detergent drawer or dispenser
Add fabric softener if desired, in the correct compartment
Close the lid or door firmly
Select the appropriate wash cycle
Choose the water temperature if available
Set the spin speed if available
Press the Start or Start/Pause button
Wait for the cycle to complete
Remove the laundry promptly after washing
Clean the drum, detergent drawer, and lint filter regularly
Turn off the machine and water supply after use
