Take a healthy, non-flowering stem cutting about 4 to 6 inches long
Use clean, sharp scissors or pruning shears
Remove the lower leaves, leaving a few leaves at the top
Dip the cut end in rooting hormone if desired
Plant the cutting in a pot filled with moist, well-draining potting mix
Keep at least one or two nodes below the soil surface
Water lightly to keep the soil evenly moist
Place the pot in bright, indirect light
Cover the cutting with a clear plastic bag or humidity dome if needed
Ventilate occasionally to prevent mold
Wait for roots to develop in a few weeks
Transplant the rooted cutting into a larger pot or garden soil
Keep the new plant watered and protected from harsh sun until established
