Choose a healthy, non-flowering stem
Use clean, sharp pruning shears
Cut a 4–6 inch section just below a node
Remove flowers and buds
Remove leaves from the lower half
Dip the cut end in rooting hormone
Fill a small pot with moist, well-draining potting mix
Make a hole in the soil with a pencil or stick
Insert the cutting into the hole
Firm the soil around the stem
Water lightly
Cover with a clear plastic bag or dome if needed
Place in bright, indirect light
Keep the soil consistently moist, not soggy
Check for root growth after a few weeks
Transplant once roots are established
