Wash and dry the nail
Trim any loose or jagged edges
File the crack gently in one direction
Apply clear nail glue to the crack
Press the crack together until set
Reinforce with a small tea bag or silk wrap patch
Apply another layer of nail glue over the patch
Buff lightly once dry
Seal with a clear top coat
Keep the nail short while it grows out
Wear gloves for cleaning and dishwashing
Moisturize nails and cuticles regularly
Avoid using the cracked nail as a tool
Remove and replace the repair if it lifts or worsens
Seek medical care if the crack is deep, painful, bleeding, or infected
